On March 26, the signing ceremony of Dongfeng Federal Mogul Piston Business Joint Venture Contract was held in Shiyan , which was an important measure for Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group Co., Ltd. and Federal Mogul Corporation to implement national industrial planning and structural adjustment requirements, realize strong-strong alliance and complementation of advantages, and boost high-quality development of piston business. The new joint venture is to invest RMB 400 million into Dongfeng Parts Group Industry Park in Zhangwan District, Shiyan, and to build a modern integrating design, manufacturing and sale of diesel pistons, and its target is to achieve sales revenue of RMB 380 million by 2022, and some of products will be exported to target North America. The new joint venture is to design and produce high-performance piston products for the automotive engines of China’s and Dongfeng’s automobile enterprises, provide high-quality service, enhance heat efficiency of traditional energy engine and reduce carbon emission, for the purpose of meeting requirements of current and future environmental laws and regulations.
Championship is merely a small target compared with business plan for DFM’s overseas business

On February 4, Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) held a press conference themed with “Belt and Road· With You” to release DFM’s overseas medium-term business plan. The Plan set forth the overall target for DFM’s overseas business in the coming three years: by 2020, achieve overseas sales goal of 150,000 vehicles and enter European and American mainstream automobile markets. Compared with DFM’s magnificent overseas strategy, the target that Dongfeng Race Team hopes to win championship in Volvo Ocean Race this year is merely a small target. DFM is to practice national “the Belt and Road” Initiative and tell well Chinese brand story with the help of Volvo Ocean Race.
Iran dealers delegation entering Dongfeng

Dongfeng Race Team upholding home honor with strength

During January 27-28, HGC in-port races at Hong Kong Station of Volvo Ocean Race was on show. HGC in-port series consisting of the in-port race (Victoria Harbor) and the Around Hong Kong Island Race (Hong Kong Island) presented Hong Kong’s fans with the splendid feast of sailing race. Dongfeng Race Team won the runner-ups in the two races, and scored a total of 7 points, so Dongfeng Race Team won the championship in the in-port race at Hong Kong Station, and was promoted into the first place in the scoreboard of in-port series.

On the afternoon of January 28, after Dongfeng Race Team won the championship of HGC in-port race at Hong Kong Station of Volvo Ocean Race, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Carrie Lam arrived at Dongfeng Pavilion situated at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, and exchanged with the leaders of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company and the players of Dongfeng Race Team. She congratulated on Dongfeng Race Team’s wonderful performance, and also congratulates Dongfeng Race Team known as “Race Team of China” with China’s most players beforehand on a complete success in the follow-up races. Sales volume of Dongfeng new energy commercial vehicle ranking first in automobile industry

According to DFM’s latest sales volume bulletin: In 2017, sales volume of Dongfeng new energy vehicles was 54,000 vehicles, with year-on-year growth at 117.6%, far higher than average industry growth rate. Sales volume of new energy passenger vehicle was up to 16,000 vehicles, with year-on-year growth at 114.1%; sales volume of new energy commercial vehicle was up to 39,000 vehicles, with year-on-year growth at 120%, ranking first in Chinese new energy commercial vehicle industry; small lot of FCV trucks have been launched.
