DFM has taken a new step forward in optimizing and integrating its dedicated & special-purpose vehicle business and building a new DongFeng Special-purpose Commercial Vehicle Business Unit: on October 23rd, DongFeng Special-Purpose Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. was officially founded in Shiyan. Consisting of 13 subsidiaries and professional plants, DongFeng Special-Purpose Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. has its main production bases located in Shiyan, Wuhan, Shenzhen and Kunming with lines of business covering full-line assemblies, parts and components for heavy, middle, light-duty and mini trucks, dedicated vehicles, special-purpose vehicles, passenger vehicles and cabs. The new company will be committed to growing into a competitive professional manufacturer specializing in producing dedicated vehicles, special-purpose vehicles and DongFeng Second Brand commercial vehicles, that will keep on developing the business of dedicated vehicles, special-purpose vehicles and DongFeng Second Brand commercial vehicles in order to strongly bolster DFM's 'Great Commercial Vehicles' strategy.
In the past, DFM appointed different business units to take charge of dedicated vehicles and special-purpose vehicles. This made the relevant product lines uncompetitive and scattered, compromising the development of a complete vehicle business. In light of these facts and with an overall consideration of business development, DFM embarked on optimizing and integrating its dedicated vehicle and special-purpose vehicle business in March of this year. On the whole, DFM's endeavors in founding DongFeng Special-purpose Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., building DongFeng commercial vehicle's second brand and fostering the third pole of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle are viewed as a major component in DFM's 'Great Commercial Vehicle' strategy, a specific reflection of DFM's 'Great DFM, Great Coordination' strategy, one of DFM's most important strategic decisions for its future business development and also an inevitable choice for DFM to become larger and stronger and intensify its competitive edge.
