DFM ranks 109th place in the World Top 500

The 2015 World Top 500 was recently released by Fortune of America and DFM ranked 109th for its operating revenue of USD 78.979 billion, up 4 places over last year. Among the 106 Chinese enterprises in the 'World Top 500 of 2015', was DFM ranked in 21st place. For six consecutive years, DFM has been ranked in the Top 200 in this list.


In 2014, the macro economy declined and the automotive market saw a minor growth. In the face of these pressures, DFM kept on forging ahead and its sales volume hit an all-time high with its development quality and benefits further improved: last year, DFM sold 3.8025 million, up 7.57% year on year, and ranked second place in the industry for sales scale with a growth rate exceeding the industry average. In addition, DFM realized sales revenue of RMB 482.9 billion in 2014, representing a year-on-year increase of 9.7%. On the whole, the Company’s growth in sales revenue, profit and paid taxes all outpace its growth in sales volume, implying that its business benefits and quality are improving to some extent. In H1 of 2015, DFM maintained steady and healthy business operation and sold 1.84 million vehicles, keeping the second place spot in the industry.


In 2014, DFM’s internationalization pace entered a new stage. On March 26th, 2014, in the presence of the Chinese President and the French President, DFM and PSA signed a capital increase and equity participation agreement in Paris. In light of this agreement, DFM will invest EUR 800 million to purchase shares issued by PSA through private placement. After that, DFM will have a 14.1% stake in PSA, making it PSA’s first majority shareholder to keep pace with the French Government and the Peugeot Family. In addition, DFM and PSA entered into a global strategic partnership agreement. Simultaneously, DFM deepened its strategic cooperation with Volvo and implemented new cooperative projects like DongFeng Renault and DongFeng GETRAG in succession, helping to optimize the Company’s JV business structure and boost the development of its independent brands. On top of that, the DFM Infiniti Company was founded and put into production, extending DFM's product line to the luxury vehicle sector. All these cooperative projects are effectively propelling the constant improvement of DFM’s brand awareness and influence.
