On May 20, a delegation led by Jake Hirsch, Powertrain & Electronics Operations President, Magna International, visited DFM. Liu Weidong, Vice President of DFM, met the visitors. The two sides discussed the issues of cooperation with emphasis on the development of DongFeng Getrag, and agreed on cementing communication and deepening cooperation in the future.
Magna International has completed the acquisition of Getrag. Previously DFM and Getrag jointly established DongFeng Getrag which put into production its first low-torque dual-clutch transmission on April 6, 2016.
In recent years, DFM has gradually increased exchanges and cooperation with international enterprises, and has maintained close communication and cooperation with Getrag, said Liu. The cooperation with Getrag has achieved fruitful results, he noted, expecting Getrag to strengthen exchanges with DFM's business units in fields such as R & D, manufacturing, quality and services, and provide products and services meeting customer needs, market needs and technical requirements, so as to achieve win-win and constantly achieve new success.
Hirsh reviewed the cooperation between Magna and DFM, expressing thanks for DFM's support. He pledged that Magna would offer full support for the development of DongFeng Getrag and pay close attention to the exchanges and cooperation with DFM's business units. He expected that the two sides would open a new page for business cooperation through unremitting efforts.
