From December 2 to 3, 2016, the 2016 China Intelligent Vehicle Championship (CIVC), themed "Intelligence Changes the World, Innovation Drives the Future", was staged at the closed test zone of the National ICV Testing Demonstration Base in Shanghai. The competition includes two categories-driverless category and intelligent drive assist category. The team of DFM Technology Center won the Driverless Leadership Award.
With the concept of "research guides development, industry drives progress", the competition lays equal emphasis on technology guidance and industrialized development. DFM Technology Center fielded driverless DFM AX7 which grabbed the Driverless Leadership Award and the Best Speed Award after passing 12 tests.
