On July 20, 2016, the 2016 Fortune Global 500 list was released. DFM was ranked 81st with operating revenues of 82.817 billion US dollars, moving up 28 places from 109th last year and ranking 16th among Chinese enterprises listed. To date, DFM has been ranked among the top 200 of Fortune Global 500 for seven consecutive years.
Known as the "ultimate list" released by Fortune magazine every July, Fortune Global 500 is the most renowned and authoritative list measuring global companies. This year, the total operating revenues and net profit of the 500 companies listed were 27.6 trillion US dollars and 1.48 trillion US dollars respectively, and the listing threshold was 20.92 billion US dollars.
In 2015, DFM sold 3.8725 million units with sales revenues of 487.791 billion yuan, achieved growth in sales revenues, profit and paid taxes, and improved its operating benefit and quality substantially. In the first half of 2016, DFM sold 1.9269 million units, up 4.69 percent year on year.
DFM has always attached great importance to brand building, and improved its rankings on various brand lists in recent years. In the 2015 Most Valuable 500 Chinese Brands list, DFM was ranked 35th with a brand value of 80.724 billion yuan.
The enterprise is the subject of technical innovation. Over the past 47 years since its founding, DFM has stuck to innovation-driven and independent development, and kept improving its independent innovation capacity and core competitiveness. DFM has increased its R&D investment year by year. In 2015, DFM's R&D investment stood at 15.7 billion yuan, accounting for 7.4 percent of its sales revenues.
